I was thinking of having a contest to enter for a free grill. I was going to use a survey to be the entry form. I'm looking for questions that might be appropriate, like maybe, are you looking to buy a house? Do you own a home now? etc.,etc. Can any one give me some suggestions? The grill is standing outside the office ready for entry forms.

Thanks

Either what is the most important factor (they would write something) OR rate these factors in order of importance to you in buying a home (give 1-5 with one being most important and 5 being least).

Price
neighborhood
#beds/bath/SF
It Factor
Age/Updating

or something like that might help you pinpoint their priorities.

What is the "it" factor?"

What is "updating"
Good suggestions if I just understood what those 2 meant.

Age as in new/newer or is old/older acceptable. Updating as in if the person only wants an older home must it have updates completed and ready for move-in or are the original counters, floors, appliances acceptable if the home is well-maintained and appropriately priced.

It factor is that undefinable, unexplainable thing that makes someone/something/some house the right one for a particular prospect. It is just what makes a home right for a particular buyer and they really won't be able to tell you clearly in advance because they will know it when they see it; it will just feel like home. Basically, if someone puts this as #1 or 2, then you will probably have to show him/her more than 5 houses to find their fit. This is a very nebulous concept, so just leave it off but I thought most people knew what the phrase meant/implied. I hope that I did not confuse you further.

I hope the survey yields great results for you. Good luck with it!

I would recommend you offer it to your Sphere instead of the general public for referrals. One entry per referral. I offered a $ 100 gas card last month, and it gave me 5 referrals, with 2 referrals panning out.

General public drawing are so inaccurate. People will say anything for a chance to win. I worked with a lady that won a car form a local supermarket, but she lied on the questioneer. She could not prove the income range she stated (terms of the rules said she must tell the truth). She never recieved the car HAHAHA, tell the truth).

I didn't think paying non licensed individuals for leads was illegal? Or is it for closed transactions?
