Could someone recommend a commercial text book for beginners? I'm doing a 10-week commercial course through our office and we're using my Broker's lesson plan for the entire class. I'm not a new agent- I've been on residential RE and mortgage since 1999 but I'm just a student in commercial RE.

I'm finding out that commercial RE and mortgage is a whole different ball game. I'm so used to working alone on residential deals and now I'm learning that commercial deals are done by teams. Writing an offer is also more involved and getting clients requires more networking and marketing than I'm used to. I hope I can keep up.

I recently made the switch from residential to commercial as well - you're right it's a totally different animal.
