I have one,not quite as advance as the one you have, however map your first destination, then put in the next she will then ask something like is this your final destination, hit yes or no. She will then give directions to each. I can only do two,and it takes you to the last one first.(hope this helps)

Type in your address then hit go. After it finds your route, click menu, then click "where to". Find your address and insert it as a way point if you wish, or you can make it your final destination. Theres a downside to it though. If you type in a few addresses, it will not find the fastest route from your starting location to the last location. It will take you to them in order that you typed them. Theres only one garmin that offers that, and it was made for a motorcycle (it will work with a car though). I have a garmin nuvi and it is awesome.

its not the answer to your question, but one of the magellan models (i think the roadmate 760) will route you the quickest way to all your destinations, up to 20. i think it goes for around 350 or 400. ive used it a few times and it works pretty well.

I also have the Garmin C340 and love it..and I do what Shamrock does. I put all the addresses in then when I am ready to roll I just go into the recent found and go from there.

I have a Garmin PDA/GPS... actually I'm on #4...(one was a lemon, one was stolen, one died of old age... the batteries are not replacable)... anyway, it does best route and I can't imagine that the high end Nuvi doesn't... on the new one go to tools, route details, edit route and add the extra points, then sort button on the bottom.
If all else fails call their tech support Tues, they're good. That Nuvi is the most expensive unit out there... if it doesn't do what you want, how you want it should go back. Sorting and setting up the route is mission critical.
By the way the new PDA... the Garmin 3000 is a total piece of crap...I called to complain and they RMA'd my old one (3600) and will fix it under warranty, even though it's past... I've a service history (besides the dead units I've mentioned, I bust screens and paid for the repair twice).
I like Garmin, just not their latest low-end unit.

I have a Garmin - not the model you have - I put in an address, hit save, continue on until all my addresses are programed in. Then, when I'm ready to roll, I touch "recently found", chose my destination and I'm off. "Jill" has shown me some really good short cuts. (I have her programmed for shortest distance.)
This is different than the way BPOBill described and puts you more in control of how you want to go. How does it put you in more control? All you need to do is input all the addresses at once and it will take you to each one without having to touch it again. The only time your way is better is if you change your mind about your route and want to go to a different address than what you programmed in. Some times I do it your way, but most of the time I dont want to sit in front of the house I was just taking pictures of to choose my next address.

Makin Money, I had the same thing happen to me too. I just bought a brand new Nuvi from a reseller on Ebay. As this was my first purchase on Ebay, I wanted to speak with the seller personally and ask specific questions. Well, I STRESSED REPEATEDLY, that I needed to be able to type in multiple destinations, and have the unit automatically route the stops for me. As Gary put it, this was mission critical. Well, lo and behold, when I get the unit, guess what, it doesn't route multiple stops. I confirmed this from Garmin Tech support. The only models that do this are the Street Pilot, and the model that is designed for motorcycles, the Zumo.

Makin', Here is a good reference for you regarding features of many GPS units. http://www.thegpsstore.com/Automotive-GPS-Compare/I used this to be sure of what all the unit could do, multiple destinations was numero uno on my list. I have a Magellan 6000T which as worked remarkably well. There were two different occasions, however, where the unit did freeze on me and I had to restart it. On the restart it picked up right where I left off so it wasn't too bad. Hope this helps.

Does anyone have suggestions on which brands has the best update? I am borrowing one from my friend to check it out (Gramin c330) but it does not show many of the newer areas. I mean like 2 years old. I checked to see if there are any updates and the website said no. It works good for my rural BPO's but the new ones stink.

The latest version is version 8. Updates are not free, so your friend may have not wanted to spend the $75.00. If yours (theirs) is 2 years out of date, they are running version 7.

The map updates are available annually at a cost (like Garmin). The POI and stuff like traffic camera locations are updated more frequently, not new addresses & maps. I'll have to say though, that my next GPS will be a TomTom, even though I currently have a Garmin C320. I want spoken street names and bluetooth.

My Garmin has spoken street names and bluetooth. I didn't mean that all Garmin units didn't, I just kinda like the Tom Tom better after using one & my current Garmin does not have those features.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
