Our Team Leader in our new Tampa Central office recruited 50 agents in the last 90 days in what is basically a glorified garage.
That and 45 agents in hand led to one of the biggest launches in KW history... she's a former Mike Ferry coach... so there might be some good stuff in the program.

VM is correct. I know a company that charges only 300 a sale and in less than a couple years have over a thousand agents. If that's not original enough I'm not sure what is. But like most orginal ideas make sure there's a solid profit built into the model so you don't have to change them after the agents join.
I know a broker that started out charge 90% split, later chargesd only 750 a sale, and lowered to 450 a sale. Now he has over 100 agents but he's unable to cover the MLS access fees ( 40 x 100 = 4000/month ).
How does Mike Ferry make his money? Does he charge the agents or the broker for the training?

VM, do you know if Ferry makes his money by charging a percentage of each sale or for each training? If he charged per sale then it's fair. He helps and he gets paid. If he charges for training without any kind of guarantee that's a rip off.

MFO does not make money by "charging a percentage." How and why should there be a "guarantee"? Calling it a "rip off" without knowing a thing about the training model is unfair, in my opinion. The Mike Ferry Organization charges for training, through seminars, coaching and other products and services. Mentors are used / needed in all walks of life. Who you choose, or what business model you utilize is a personal / business decision. I think the training is a very "common sense" approach to sales. Or at least, what should be "common sense." The system is not for the timid or closed minded though. JMHO

My broker/manager is in the mike ferry management coaching system. The system MF teaches is basically the same system for the sales side. A lot of it is based on recruiting, prospecting agents for appointments, and interviewing them to see if they are a good fit for your company. If you're an agent that's not willing to activly and aggressivly look for business (prospect), you don't get to hang your license at a MF trained office. There is a lot of accountabilty as well with the manager. Everything from setting schedules to business planning. Our broker recently joined the 1 on 1 management and shortly after cleaned house, dropped about 20 non producing agents from the roster. Now he recruits agents by phone or in person, and they must go through a 30-90 day training session of learning the basics of the mike ferry sales system.
As mentioned by Kevin above, this system is not for the timid or closed minded! We have 6 agents in our office in the MF 1 on 1 coaching system, including myself. The majority of the agents out there won't do the things mike ferry teaches. There's a lot of rejection using this system. It's not for everyone.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
