My Open House directional signs blow over in a modest wind. Are there any good solutions? I've been using the type with a metal tube frame and then the sign hangs and swings in the middle. I'm thinking of trying wood A-frames next (or maybe they are called tent frames -- I'm not sure). What design has worked well for you, especially on windy days?

Well, I was thinking just the opposite yesterday. I have tent signs that kept blowing over in moderate to strong winds yesterday and was thinking about getting the one's you mentioned. Now, I'm not so sure. Hopefully, some other's will post some good suggestions to plant the open house signs more securely.

We have a metal sign on a stake that goes in the ground.

Paceryder: what do you use at intersections where there is no dirt?

I take a 5-10lb weight, the kind you can wrap around your ankles, and secure it to the signs. I haven't had one blow over yet.

I have tent and stake signs.

Most of my listings are rural property, so those cheap stake signs work fabulously.

In the city I use the metal frame swingy ones, I haven't had one blow over, but it isn't that windy here.

I use the metal (I) shape frame and the signs slides in on the bottom.
We had high winds here over the weekend and none of my signs blew over!
