Has anybody used Agent Xsites software for realators and is it a good product?

http://www.alamode.com/products/Agent/xsites/levels.aspx

I stumbled upon this when looking at allied school for realators and the options that come with the professional edition look incredible. But I wanted to run it by you guys before I shell out $500.

Wow, that's full featured for sure!

I wish I would have stumbled accross that before I built my website ha!

Anyway, it looks like a buy/install solutiion for your own server, so you shell out the $500 once, and the longer you use it the more value you'll get. I've seen sites that offer less features and charge $29 a month... if you use the AgentX for 2 years, you'll be paying $21/mo. (in theory).

Before i buy anything like that, I check out reviews and also their satifaction guarantee. I also saw a trial link on there. ;\)

I believe this sites prices are for 1 year of service. Pretty sure they host it and all that good stuff. I was just looking into these sites for a local broker who wants to get his mortgage section a website.

I have'nt talked to the company yet but I am going to talk to at least 3 mortgage website host companies and this will be one of them. From what I've seen they look to be pretty good. Just need to know if I can edit things like meta tags for each page. I've seen some sites that basically give the agent no control over SEO things like editing the raw html code and changing meta tags on internal pages.

If he decides to go to this company I'll definetally post what i think of the service.

I would check around a lot before buying. I am amazed how many times after reviewing a product and then deciding to "pass" on it how often they turn around and slash the price to get you on board.

Consider it to the end and then see what happens if you decide the cost is too great.

I have an XSite and I love it. The prices are annual which I like because I don't get a bunch of run around about upgrading to this or that every week. If they have an update, I get it at no cost. The features are very helpful and there isn't anything I am lacking. My website is http://www.myoklahome.com

I have three other websites by other vendors and this one is my favorite by far. I am not limited to the amount of listings and I got a domain name with my price -- I had to buy it separate with other vendors. I also have a mortgage guy that I work with and he has their mortgage xsite which is cool because I have the ability to offer a 1003 on my website that automatically goes right to him.

That's my two cents but I think you will love their service and their sites. Good luck!

It all depends what you need and expect from your sites as to whom you should use... There are systems out there that would be overkill for some and not enough for others ... Take your time and identify what yoiur needs are first before creating a site anywhere or you will fall into the category of the 99% of sites that generate little or no business ...that's the most important part \:\)

Maybe try your hand with a free service first and test the waters. It might give you insight to identify exactly what you're looking for. \:D

AgentX sites are a lot of value for their money. Totally transparent pricing and you get all features/upgrades as they are rolled out.

The key thing with AgentX (or any template based site) is that you need to make sure you customize the content and not just use their "out of the box" content that is probably appearing on a few thousand other agents sites. The good news is that the site is extremely easy to customize...if you can use Microsoft Word, you can use the AgentX Editor.

Hello Aftermath and All

In my 8 years of working as a Marketing Executive both corporately and as a Consultant, I always recommend to my clients that they should focus on what they do best. In your case Aftermath, it is selling houses, so don't lose focus of that and start developing websites. Yes, there are some great off the shelf solutions out there that have been developed that empower people to design their own website, but you spend so much time learning the solution when all that time could have been spent out there meeting people, closing deals, and finding new clients. Besides, allot of these solutions are limited in functionality and as you grow your business you'll find that you grow out of the solution and then need something more customized. I recommend leave the web design and search engine optimization to the experts. What takes you a few hours to do, probably only takes a designer and web programmer half an hour to do. As a Real Estate Agent, you should be out there meeting people constantly rather than behind a screen plunking away at code.
