I put up a couple of my listings on my main page. If you don't have any, you might want to include some information on the areas you work in, with a small introduction and links to articles (preferably written and hosting by you).

For the interim, you can just put your picture up and the your contact info. Maybe a few photos of your area. A contact form would also help. You don't really need much, especially if you don't have a portfolio. Just keep it simple. Then get rid of the "Under Construction" phrase
Maybe, look at a few other sites for inspiration.
Good luck.

First off you need a banner for the top of the page the same banner should be used on every page. In this banner you need to have your company name, Your name, and your phone number. If you want the calls to come to your cell phone than only put that number. Don't label it cell#, either don't label it at all or label it direct# include your area code.
As for content you need to know what keywords your targeting before you start typing.
I'd put an H1 tag at the top with your main keyword phrase which will most likely be "(your city) real estate".
After that i would put a table with 2rows and 2 columns. One Column For Buyers and the other For Sellers. Maybe change the background of the top row to make it look highlighted.
The second row I would use to direct the visitors to where you want them to go. Links to other pages with information for buyers and for sellers, a link to a featured listing page which should have all your office listings or if you have enough of your own just put yours. And at the bottom of each column link to a contact form page and again put you name and number below that. On each page at the bottom of the content I would put a Contact Me button linking to the contact form page. On the For Sellers side make a link to a page with a form for a market analysis. Make sure you have the field for their addresss a required field so you can get a property profile before you do a CMA. Make the email a required field and the phone not required, etc., make fields for #bedrooms #baths etc. With the correct address you don't need this info but they will enjoy filling it in. =P
Below this table you need some keyword rich content. Get creative. Google SEarch- "(any city but yours) real estate" and check out some agents sites that rank well and get some ideas for your content. Don't copy others content just use it to get ideas. Copying content will result in bad search engines ranking.
If you are building and maitaining your own site you might want to find a company that will do an mls search function page for you, as this helps to get visitors to come back to your site. Make sure it is very user friendly.
Hope this helps.

Instead of "Website Under Construction", I would maybe says "... Coming Soon" or something to that effect.
Good luck!

Hi
Build it bit by bit.
Start with your goals, and then work backward.
You may find that you need to sell yourself, the company you work for and the method that you will service the buyer or seller.
Sell your self by offering good local knowledge - schools, recent sales, lifestyle of the area, as well as the "type of agent you are"
Sell your office by talking about your offices success and the support that they give you, their market share, the training and systems etc
tell them a bit on how you will help them, what you will do to find them a property or sell their property
Listings are also very good, as is a subscribe function and a search function
best of luck

How about having a write-up on the area(s) you're covering until the site is up and running. You can then use this later on as part of your website too.
Good luck with the site...

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
