Do you door knock? Please share your experience. What do you hand out when knocking? I am starting a door knocking campaign next week and need some ideas for what to hand out.

i have never cold door knocked. i call cold door knocking just going from one door to the next finding out who wants to buy or sell.

i "warm door knock" expired/fsbo/wtdrn, i know that they want to sell. they are getting mail from other realtors, so i get in front of them to differentiate myself from the rest of the crowd.

I don't think I can ever go door to door and do door knocking.
I hated the door to door salesman. I will do all otherforms
of traditional real estate selling. But that's just me.

Cold calling or cold knocking... None of it is the way to go. Positive word of mouth and following up with satisfied clients will get you the best business of all.

i understand that positive word of mouth is the best. but for a new agent, where will he get all of these satisfied customers? he has to start somewhere. bang for the buck, a little bit of time face to face with someone that did/does want to sell will only help.

look at the results of the fsbo work performed by shaunla -- if that is not motivating, i dont know what is.

i print it on resume paper with my logo and contact information on the top.


MARKETING TIP

I came up with a law that I use to help explain how marketing a home works. I call this the law of numbers. The law of numbers states for every 1,000 people that see the advertisement of your home, there might be 100 people looking for a home. For every 100 people looking for a home, 10 people will be serious and qualified to buy your home. Out of those 10 people, 1 person might put an offer on your home.

To have enough serious and qualified buyers interested in your house, they need to see it.

The law of numbers is a not fact, but it used to make the point that people must see a house in order to buy it. The best house on the market will not sell unless people know it is for sale.

So the secret of the law of numbers is to allow more people to see your house, which is successfully done by marketing through different mediums. Print media is starting to fade. In today's market, the tool most used is the internet. Over 70% of homebuyers look for homes on the internet before contacting an agent.

Most for sale by owners market their home on the standard ‘For Sale by Owner’ website. However, there are 1,000’s of homes that camouflage yours and don't you want your home to stand alone? Here is a marketing tip: If you want your home to stand out, make a website for your home and market your website.
