Can someone tell me typically how long does the sales process take when selling a new home to someone?

Sales process for me has been 7 to 30 days from when the contract was written to closing on spec homes.

I'd say average of 30 days. Closing time can be as short as a week , but that's not normal. I've had some that took 2.5 months to close as well.

Christa, average closing period after an accepted offer is typically 30 days in most areas. Depending on how fast the lender can close the loan can definitely speed the process up. The loan process is what takes closings take so long usually. If the lender is confident that they can close the loan in 2 weeks, then great! Usually the better the qualifications of the buyer are, the easier and faster a loan can close because of less conditions.
