I have a friend purchasing a parcel of land in Northern Georgia, he lives in Florida. These parcels are being sold by a company that has several lots for sale. By checking county records these parcels are recorded under different names. I have been told by these boards that usually a company takes over & tries to sell them for the individual owners. This is going to be a cash deal closing is a mail out. He will have a local attorney (Fl) look thru the paperwork, but how can we make sure the title is clear? Will that be taken care of from the closing attorney in Georgia? Is title insurance an option to the buyer? I purchased a lot also from them but mine was financed & I had to use an attorney here in Florida to close.
Thanks.
