Hello Everyone, I'm new to the site. I recently passsed my Real Estate Exam, and am going through the application process. I have already completed my additional courses, to satisfy the 18 month requirements. I am in the stage of interviewing with, Real Estate Companies... I'm in Southern California(North Orange County)and would like to work with a great company, that offers a decent split, but what's really important to me, is training, and a good support staff. If I could get a mentor that would be great too. I am new to the Real Estate side, but have experience on the lending side. Can anyone give me there pros and cons and the companies listed below
Keller Williams & Remax & Zip Realty

I'm sure the answer will vary due to many factors. Several fellow agents that I know in my area absolutely swear by Keller Williams training. I believe that they call it KW University. From my own experience:The RE/MAX office I worked in offered NO training whatsoever. This was in the early 1990's (things may be different now). Only thing remotely akin to training was that you could watch the RE/MAX network on satellite if you wanted to. I've been a partner in a Century 21 office (1995-1997) and the training was basically Floyd Wickman tapes and little else. I'd take a notebook and make notes on what each company offers. Also, ask each company if you can talk to one of their newer agents (6-12 months) and ask them how they rate the training. Best of luck to you and welcome to the forums!

I also interviewded with Keller Williams, and loved them. The office staff seemed very nice, and there training seemed good. It also seemed to me that it was too good to be true. But as of yet, I have not heard anything bad about them...which is good, but I think I will continue searching.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
