Hello everyone. I just got my Californian RE License and few days ago I “discovery” this very helpful place, two good events in a shot period of time. I am from Cuba and this is my year number four speaking and writing English (trying! :)). I am amaze about how much information you gays handled in this Forum. Thank you very much for the information that you share with everybody. Let me tell you a bit about me: I am 40 years old and I was working as Scientific for almost 10 years. I love numbers, charts, etc, etc. In USA I have been working as salesman (big change!!) for three years with Autonation in California. I came from to have been “another new salesman” in 2004 to a top seller (15 to 20 cars a month) in 2007. I have in my computerized “autobase” more than 4000 customers (counting all categories). My technique is really simple but no common in this business: FULL disclosure, FULL commitment, FULL support after sales with my customers. My limitation: My actual English level (I still working hard to improve it) As a new licensee I have some questions and my firs concern is the dilemma that I am facing about my future destiny (now I sound dramatic): Real Estate Agent or Mortgage Officer After 3 years and a lot of training in sales and business development form Autonation I feel in my profession as a “Fish in the Water” but the life still running and new achievements are nuking the door. I just want to take the right decision, I am not in a hurry but in the same time I feel like a kid with a brand new RC plane: Yahooooo!!!!!!! I want to fly it, that’s the reason why I would appreciate from the bottom of my hart any comments about the advantages and disadvantages for both sides: RE Agent Vs. Loan Officer. I have some personal consideration about this topic that I want to share with you in other moment but firs I want to read some opinions from experienced professionals in this business. Thank you very much for your comments. Good bless all you gays. Roman2008

I am only a real estate agent, so I can't really give you advice about being a loan officer. Being an agent is great if you like helping people buy and sell their homes. It is a great business to be in if you know how to control your time. There is a lot of potential for this business to make you a lot of money while doing what you love. Good luck with whatever you decide.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
