I am new to this forum and glad to find it! I need advice, thoughts or? I am going to be opening my own Real Estate Company soon. It will be for the most part a virtual office set up mainly because I cover more rural areas of my state so am not in the office very much. I did take loan origination classes for my own knowledge but am not licensed to do this in my state unless I work under someone elses license.

I am thinking about finding someone to affiliate with that I can link to through my website. There are a number of issues that concern me, ethical fair treatment of my clients being number one. Do any of you affiliate with someone online or do you stay local with referrals?

Even though I will be working as an independent brokerage I want to be able to provide the full range of services, real estate, mortgage and insurance. I am just not sure quite how to go about getting affiliates. Thankyou for any help or advice you will share with me. I should also mention that I am in Minnesota.

Speak to your attorney... He/she can advise you on compliance with state and federal (RESPA)...
