When you try to post or reply, the forum software checks to make sure that you are actually using the forms on this website for doing that. This is a way of stopping spammers who use scripts to post their junk.
If you try to post and receive the "host is not recognized as a valid host" message, there are a couple of things to check.
First, what is the url showing in the address bar of your browser? It should be
http://www.agentsonline.net/ and there should be nothing else between the http:// and the
http://www.agentsonline.net - if there is it means you are viewing the site from a proxy server and that would cause you problems.
Second, security software on your computer is preventing your computer from sending your referrer information. This can include programs such as
1. Zone Alarm, both free and pro.
2. Norton (aka Symantec) Internet Security
3. Norton (aka Symantec) AntiVirus
4. Your browser itself can be configured to block referrers
5. Some add-on tool bars for your browser have settings that block referrers - example: The Web Developer Toolbar for Firefox
6: Your router may also have a setting to block referrers
Normally the problem will be with one or all of the Norton products so check there first.
There should be an option in the appropriate program to disable it from disabling (or not forwarding) the refferral address.
The option in a firewall to block referrer variables isn't really a security setting, it's there to "protect privacy" by not forwarding referrers so that you can't be "traced" online, however the referrer check utilizes this variable to validate you're posting from this site.
