I was just hired on at a mortgage broker. I'm considered pretty young for the business, and I am looking for ideas on how to network with young real estate agents. Just trying to find agents that have been in the business for at least 6 months. How would I go about finding them. Also, if you ARE a new agent, E-mail me. Whitea207@hotmail.com

Have plenty of options to keep your buyers happy. Also willing to share in the split.

Alex.

You should update your profile to show what city/state you are in, I believe you'll get more replies that way.

I'm in Dallas Tx. Also i'll give a referral bonus or a % of my split depending on how big the loan is. All that can be worked out, per loan.

You are new and anxious to make money. That is good. However the above quote directly violates RESPA and could land you with some fines and maybe (if you continue to do it) some time in the pokey.

I would suggest meeting with your manager and having him/her go over what you can or cannot do to attract business.

I dont know about you, but it seems like I explain the same things to new agents and loan officers all the time. Basic stuff that should be on their state exam...kind of frustrating at times

Why are you looking for agents who have been in the business for at least 6 months? By the time someone has been doing this 6 months, they have probably already found a lender that they trust. If you catch them right out of the box, spend some time training them, take them to lunch- you'll become their trusted advisor. I think the trick is getting to them first and then building a relationship. If you wait even a week, other lenders are already banging down their door- and you just get lost in the crowd.
