House-hunting can be hell when you're in the process of. But it can be heaven as an adventure unfolding on TV. Especially if that adventure is brought to you by the same people who brought you Bravo's Showbiz Moms & Dads and Showdog Moms & Dads. In June, Bravo will begin airing WOW's Million Dollar Listing, a series of six shows looking at the often cutthroat, always fascinating state of real estate in Southern California, where property rules. The episodes follow agents from high-powered companies in Hollywood and Malibu as they bicker and broker with sellers and buyers. Each hourlong episode presents a listing's progress from walk-through to close. What we're saying is: Million Dollar Listing puts the "real" in real estate.

They have a reality t.v. show for everything. I mean, when you turn the t.v. on and theres a reality t.v. show on a plumber, things have gotten pretty crazy in the biz.

Did they cancel this show already? I missed the June 12th show and wanted to catch the rest of the series but can't find it ANYWHERE on the TV schedule in the near future...

I hope they did cancel it. I did see two of the episodes and it was an embarrassment to our industry. (imho)

There were only 6 episodes ... VH1 has a new similar series called The fabulous life of Rich Real Estate or something like that .. It was on late last night (Friday pm). Entertaining. Some of the agents make me want to hurl. Especially the one who let an easy sale slip away along with the accompanying $100K plus commission because the seller didn't want to change out some wall socket face plates or something dumb. For that kind of commission I would've washed the dishes and cleaned the toilets myself. DUMB.

I know a couple of realtors who do the same stupid thing, won't try save the deal. I've saved a quite a few deals buying stuff myself. Like i had a buyer thought the stove was ugly and the seller was not replacing it. so i said i'll buy a new stove. Came out looking like a hero, lost a couple hundred but made quite a few thousand.

I never saw the show. I've dumped in money to save deals. Trouble is a lot of the time its an excuse NOT to take the deal and if you solve that problem, they will find something else. Pretty soon you are out a lot of $$$ - and still no deal.

yeah, that's true i've had luck committing them to it. After i explain to them of all the trouble i went through negotiating the deal so they can get what they want. I'm a realtor working for them. We'll it works most of the time.
