Thanks for moderating here! Hopefully we can get some good ideas flowing here. Right now I am working on recruiting and competing with the big names in the area. I was brainstorming on ways to get my company name out there other than the obvious need for signs in yards.
I decided to do a real estate career fair and expo. It will be held the beginning of June, and I have about 30 other brokers who will have booths there. The other 30 booths will be industry vendors. Using the $ from booth sales I am able to purchase TV and radio advertising. The TV station is running one additional weeks worth of ads free in exchange for a sponsorship, and I am also getting some free/ discounted advertising in a couple of newpapers. Our local paper that goes out to local REALTORS is featuring the event in a 2 page spread. I'm keeping my company front and center through out the process. I'll let you know how many interviews I schedule. The industry newspaper has asked me to be a contributing author- so hopefully that will also help with exposure.
Anyone else have any recruiting ideas? Has anyone tried anything like this? If so, did it work well, or did it turn out to be a waste of time?
