OK I am finding myself in an interesting situation. The company is growing faster then anticipated and now I am looking to upgrade my phone system and I wonder if any of you have a good company you are working with.

I am looking to keep my current phone and phone number, but here is where the problem starts (it is still a cell phone). This main number will then rout the incoming phone calls to the right person or VM box through an automated system. Any Ideas???!!!????

what a great problem to have, congratulations! What I would suggest is a hosted PBX service. There are quite a few of them out there, some of them are focused on the real estate agent, and some of them are a little bit more generic.

With a hosted PBX, you'll be able to route incoming calls to your cell phones or to voicemail boxes depending on the option pressed by the caller. The beauty of the system is extended and that he can also keep detailed call logs and use them for lead follow up.

I use Accessline.com. It is a remote system and VERY affordable. I would just get a good new main number and start routing calls. You will still have them coming in to your cell phone for a while- but it will trickle down as your clients get the main number. I use the Virtual Receptionist. It starts at $59 per month- it says you get 5 extentions for that price, but my sales lady gave me 10. I also have a toll free number through them- just forwarded to the main number. And I have an e-fax through them. I forward voice mails and faxes to my agents via e-mail. For an extra cost you can get voice mail boxes for each of your agents, but I didn't see the point since they all have voice mail on their cell phones. You can call our number to see how it works and what our recording says- 719-325-7600. Everything forwards to the agents cell phones. You can set it up so that someone answers live during the day, but I'm just not up to that expense yet; we're just not big enough to justify it yet.
