$600 a month?? Get a new insurance company! Buy minimal coverage and then have a blanket liability policy for your business.
I personally have one of the trucks and offset the costs by selling ad space to my favorite lenders, title companies and inspectors. I had one side for my RE business and the other was for custom builder business
Look how much a billboard would cost and go from there. You would have a billboard that can be moved all over town. While nice to offer your agents free use I would not instead I would charge them $35 for the day plus they or their client had to fill the tank upon return to get the deposit back. Also allow charities to use the truck for free as this is a great write-off.

I know this has been discussed, but I want to be more specific.
I have been thinking about purchasing a moving van for my company for some time now. I would allow my agents' clients free use (with a deposit that is returned when they van comes back with a full tank of gas, etc). I would also use it as a travelling billboard for the company as well as 3 spots available to be rented out (try and break even) I received a quote for the insurance and it will be approx. $600 a month! EEK! I was budgetting for $350. Anyways.......my question.
Have any broker/owners here had any experience with a moving van. Did you see a significant growth in walk-ins, ends? Was it worth it? I would be the only company in town with a moving van and moving vans here in this city are hard to book to begin with.
Any ideas? Thoughts?
Thank you
