What's the deal with the DRE changing the test and making it so much harder. I hear that the passing rates are way down. Which school is more likely to have the latest and most updated questions?
Thanks

I didnt hear they changed anything. The passing rate is around 40% and has been that way for a while. it doesnt matter you can take it one hundred times in a row if you wanted, kind of sounds silly to me

They change it pretty regularly. Every 2 to 3 years I think. When I sat for it a few years ago, I was there for the first day they were using a new test.

The best solution for most folks is to do practice exams.

www.alliedschools.com had a great one that I used exclusively. There were questions that were word for word on the exam.

On the upside, the still use old questions, just add a bunch of new ones and change the ratios of question types in the new exams.

Assuming a normal test cycle, over 75% of brokers test taker fail. If it is a brand new test, that can jump to 80 or 90%

I did my courses at anthony schools too, and would recommend them highly. Another good school is www.retrainers.com who offer terrific license preparation and crash courses.

I passed the first time, but I had a practice CD that was supposed to contain actual test questions.

They pitched it at 75% of the questions from the CD will be on the test, however, it was more like 25%

Lucky for me I actually read stuff and pay attention from time to time.

When I first signed up with a school my instructor was kinda dopey and signed me up to take the state exam the same day. It gave me about 3 weeks to study and learn, my "instructor", I use the term loosely, just said read as much as you can and fail the first time you take the real exam just to get a feel for it. He had failed 4 times. Just before going to take the test someone told me the right answer would always be the one that protected the consumer the most. Is that true on the broker's exam? Excluding math...
