What did you mail them? Are you a discounted firm? Check this out (as an example) and it might help. http://www.ambiancerealty.net/f-dash.asp?Page=161051.html I thought this was pretty interesting.

Ambiance has a nice looking web presence and a good offer for agents no dought about it.
I also went on you page Fatmax I thought you worked at Ambiance and well... I was well... I dont know. Mabye I am just a product of 30 years of socialistic goverments in Canada. I liked your page its just that I have never seen one like that (mixture of religion and buz)and I think its very very comendable to have such strong convictions.
Mabye thats whats wrong with my Country its so politically corect we cant even say what we stand for.
Cheers

BEM,
The key to recruiting is consistency. You need to mail the agents every month if you can. Keep in front of them. It's the same principles as prospecting when you're a real estate agent. It's also building relationships. Agents don't just up & leave their brokerage. For many, it's a big decision so keep in touch & try to gain their trust & be there when they decide to move. Also, what do you have to offer these agents? It's not always about better splits so try to emphasize other benefits. We've had success calling the agents on the phone in addition to monthly postcards, print & web advertising.

I agree, splits are not the only thing you should focus on in your marketing, because some agents, even on a lower split, may not consider the extra % worth the uncertainty an risk that they would take on by moving. I think that you really have to get agents to see the vision that you have for your offices growth, and that you would like for them to grow with you and as a team, build a very successful company (or office). I think that ends up getting watered down once you are up to 100 agents or so, but with less than 40 agents, I am sure that you will get the buy-in that you are looking for. The benefits have to outweight the costs almost 3:1, to get someone to move companies (my opinion) ...

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
