i've been looking at several scripts for real estate listings. I'm wondering if anyone has used Open Realty? If so have any of you found and decent templates for this script?

Also, how much is everyone spending on their websites. Who does their own websites?

I don't know about Open Realty so I'm answering part 2 of your question. I pay nothing for my site, it's a part of my "tech fees" at my brokerage. It's a template but I have learned a little HTML and add on whatever I can think of that might add value. I recently started blogging on Active Rain and added a link to that. (Join with me if you like - http://activerain.com/action/referrals/sarahcooper . They give you points for doing this or that so I should say that if you join through this link I'll get points. Never have really figured out what the points DO, but it's fun. LOTS of info on this site, too.) I also use www.RealEstateShows.com to add content in several ways, with virtual tours of listings of course but also to educate and market a bit, too. You can find lots of good stuff out there if you look around. Use what feels right to you.

Cool, I probably wont join that just because it's US based and I'm up here in Canada. What's the link to your blog? And does it have an RSS Feed?

I use Open Realty and like it a lot. It is better if you know a little html and/or php but not a requirement. Many add-ons to tailor your site.

I do my own website. I have Front Page 2003 and basically use it merely to see what it looks like - I do 99% of the work in the HTML code - I use a combination of HTML and CSS.

I pay only my monthly hosting fee (currently $55 because I have a reseller account; it will drop to $14.95 / month when I drop to a regular account).

I also pay a yearly fee for custom links from the MLS.
