I like myfax.com. $10 a month for the basic service.

Ok, this is another one of those things that I would rather control myself. I use FAX STF Server. This is software that I have running on a computer at my office. This allows me to send and receive faxes from anywhere. It can also be setup to email faxes you receive to any email you choose as a PDF file. It runs on a Mac, but can allows mac or windows machines to make use of it. I have been using it for a while and has worked flawlessly for me. The best part has been creating a PDF paper trail of every fax I have gotten or sent for every deal. Find it here: http://www.smithmicro.com/default.tpl?group=product_full&sku=STFMSVXX If you just want something running on your windows machine, here is a windows based product from the same company that will also handle voicemail: http://www.smithmicro.com/default.tpl?group=product_full&sku=HMCWA0SESMS1250 R

I like Efax - I use it as a scanner too - I can pdf my faxes and then forward them on via email instead of faxing a fax of a fax of a fax...

I recommend www.myfax.com 200 Free Incoming and 100 Free Outgoing. No software is downloaded on your system. I have been using the program for over a year and love it. I also like being able to add multiple email addresses to the account. Most of my agents also use www.myfax.com and have added me to the account so I can retrieve documents from a distance and forward it or upload to the OTM program. You can setup the program to allow faxes to be stored online and delivered via email as an attachment (TIFF or PDF). Another alternative would be the fax system provided by www.ringcentral.com This program will provide you a toll free voice and fax line with 5 mailboxes. Ideal for those specializing in relocation services or have off site real estate assistants. My systems never seem to like eFax.

I use dataoncall.com. I think it's $10 per month and is a dedicated fax.

The other advantage of internet faxing is producing much clearer copies, esp w/multiple faxing back and forth for sigs.
I use efax but I guess they are not the cheapest.

Just wanted to give an update on the fax suggestion I made.
The Fax STF Server software is NOT cross platform compatable, so you would have to be only working with Mac computers.
Since most are probably using windows based machines, I would suggest the windows link I provided above.
It also preserves quality and does all the other things I described. In addition, it handles voicemail - will even forward messages as sound files to any email address you specify, forward calls anywhere, etc. Pretty powerful stuff.
For those that want the 800 number advantage, I had my old voicemail/fax system on a vonage IP phone line with 800 number. I had a fax back system, voicemail and normal faxing all working great on this system.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
