Bah...it's been almost a month since I sent in the paperwork for my license. I am so excited waiting and checking the DRE web site 3+ times per day. Aaaaarrrrgggghhhh. At times like these I absolutely hate holiday weekends.

My license took about 3 months to get after I applied for it. Here in Nevada there are about 15,000 licensed real estate agents though.

Wow.. We have over 25,000 in our MLS alone.

I know Nevada is the least populous state, but I's amazed there are so few realtors.

I don't think that 15,000 is a few, especially for the small size of Las Vegas. 15,000 is a lot of real estate agents competing for the same business. Only about half of them are actually active in the business. The others just hold on to their license for investment purposes or whatever else.
