For me, what really did it was their "Exam Cram" dvd and "Super Prep" cd. Many practice questions are the same as the questions on the real test.

I also liked the practice tests in "RE License Exams for Dummies."

I'm in AZ, passed on the first time, and didn't use anything except my school text book. I wrote all of the key terms (about 200) on index cards with the definitions on the back and studied them back and forth. First i'd look at the term and give the definition, then the next time through i'd read the definition and try to give the term.

I also made sure I knew every practice question in the back of the text book, I think there were about 300.

I'm also really good at the math so I didn't have to study anything math related except some terms.

Hi,
I'm trying to acquire my real estate license for the state of Georgia. I've already taken the exam twice, and failed both times.
So I am here asking those that passed for advice on how and what to study to help me pass this exam. Is there a certain method that helped you, or what specific kinds of materials (books, videos, etc) did you use?

I really want to pass this test this time, even if I have to pay someone to take the test for me, I will be more than happy to pay, to get that licence.
I have to drive at least 2 hours to take the test. I am a very busy person, so I need as much advice as I can get to help me pass this time.

Hello everybody-
I just passed my exam on Saturday in Pennsylvania and passed it on the first attempt. I'm not sure how it worked in your RE school, but my school provided me with CDs with all the real estate terms and their definitions. I copied them on my iPod and listened until I was dreaming of them at night. I listened to them all the time.

The school also was pretty strict on testing. They gave us a midterm and a final for each class. They make you study and if you don't pass the final, you don't get your transcript.

Also, I took my exam through PSI and I found their practice exam extremely helpful. At least 5 of the questions on the practice exam were on the actual exam.

For State portion I got 80% and for National I got 87.5%.

Just study anything you can get your hands on. Study the night before and study in your car, right before you take the exam. When it's all fresh in your mind, you have a better chance of getting the questions right.

Good luck to all of you.

Tarbell gave me a CD for my computer that had 10 150 question tests on it and after each one would give you a score. As long as you were averaging 90% or better on every test it was impossible to fail. I saw some of the EXACT same questions on the test. I was done in 2 hours.

I took principles, practice, finance and law at a local community college. Passed the 1st time and thought it was easy.
