hello! newbi here! need help! everyone said realestate school was easy! everyone i talked to said they passed realestate school no problem! well imagine if you were taking the course for a 2nd time because you failed the final exam by 10 questions! very frustrating! any advice would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance for the help!

p.s. and yes i studied ! i have recently purchased cd-rom to study from, and practice testing. i am finding my ability to study and retain is very challenging! i am in my 40s and not had to study since my 20s.

Sometimes it's the actual test taking. I know alot of people who studied and studied and failed 5 times. If you feel you are not good at the actual testing...I am sure that there is something on the internet on taking tests. I made flash cards and had my son help me study all the time. I also got a dictionary of all the meanings of all the terms and took that with me everywhere. When I had a chance to look at it, it was there. I also bought the license tutor which helped me sooooo much!! There was a cram course at school but everyone I talked too that took it failed the test, so I bought the license tutor and it was wonderful. If you fail the test using it, they refund your money.

If you were actually that close I think you were just nervous. Next time prepare a little better. I recommend getting a good night sleep, eating a nutritious breakfast and lunch and maybe a cup of coffee right before the test to get your adrenaline going. But yes the flash card does work very well.

Well you know what they say....3rd times a charm. Don't be fustrated these things happen. You need to have a can do attitude. I finally passed my exam after 3 tries. The first 2 times I just really did not prepare myself for the test. I did not set time aside for studying.... I did not sleep enough the day before. I rushed a few questions. One of those times I also barely failed and after that I told myself I would be ready next time. I kept reminding myself that Abe lincoln failed many times at things he did, yet he kept trying and he ended up doing great things! So before I was to take my test again. I studied for a whole week straight and also took mock up test and re-took the mock up test until I almost had a 100% passing score. Then I was ready and went in to take my test after a good nights sleep and guess what? I passed. There are many resources you can use. You can go to your local book store and read books geared to the exam, you can go online and have mock up test and you can also make up flash cards and look over them throughout the day. Also talking to someone about what you are reading or just sharing your new found knowledge on realestate terms and their meaning will help you really start to learn and understand what you are studying.

I passed on my first try BUT it's probably because I studied theory over practicing with sample questions. Whatever you do this time make sure you understand the theory.

If you are referring to the end of the class exam... then yourt instructor should have pointed out key points. At Bob Hogue my instructor did that which helps but even then four people didn't pass. Just keep at it. Don't give up.
