What is the best way to set up your initial interviews with brokers?

First, know that in most markets, the brokers are happy to hear from you. They want to interview you; in fact, many times, the process is more about you interviewing them.

If you're calling mostly bigger firms, they'll know exactly what to do with you - in other words, all you have to do is call the office and ask to speak with the person who interviews new agents. If you're calling smaller boutique firms, you'll probably speak directly with the managing broker.

Just get on the phone and start calling. Truly, there is absolutely nothing to be worried or anxious about.

One thing though the broker is extremely busy all day so you should leave a message on the answer machine or email. Out of all the calls I made, a little more than half have called back to schedule an interview.
