Classes took me about a year to complete, took the test about six months after my last class, passed right away. Studied using a CD specifically designed to function like the Ohio test, and had a bank of over 1000 questions, used the CD for about 20 minutes every day.

CT. I studied for about 45 minutes a day. The class ended in the end of August but couldn't test until middle of October because of the testing company was full. I passed the general part the first time, but missed the state part by 1 question. I went back a week later and passed the state part.

Texas and I took the exam once and passed it. Once I finished RE course I took a prep course (it helped alot) the week of my exam. I also studied about 30 min a day the week of my exam.

Missouri and I took the salespersons classroom training for 2 weeks and then my test the day after class ended--started right in on my brokers the next week and passed it the following week. I studied at least 2 hours every night.

Jackie it took me 6 months to do my classes, I was a college student and was able to mix my classes in with my other classes. I took the test about 6 months later. I Passed the sate part of the exam on the first time and the National portion on the second. I never studied for the exam until I had to take the national part again I studied 1 hour every other day foe 2 weeks. To be honest I thought the test was easy. I only missed passing the first time by 2 questions. If I had studied the first time I’m sure I would have passed it all the first time. By the way I’m in Ohio

Here in Colorado the classes are about a month if you go all day every day M-F. If you do the 4 hour evening classes every evening it takes 2 months, and if you do all day Saturday and Sunday it takes 3 months. (That's for a brokers license. We don't have sales licenses here). I did home study for 6-8 hours per day and it took me 9 days on my own. I took the exam within a week and passed my first time. I had already been managing large apartment complexes for 6 years and taught the fair housing training for my company- plus my parents were real estate investors, so I had a little head start.

I'm in Ohio, too. I passed on my first try. There is someone in our office that took the State test 4 times or so. He's a great agent!

I took the course over a two day period. Twelve hours both days. I studied for about an hour and took the test two weeks after the course. I passed the first time. The test and course were not that difficult most of it semmed to be common sense type information.

My 1st test was the C.A. Broker's exam. Although I've been a real estate investor for 9yrs, I had never been licensed & I used 'equivalent experience' & the required classes to qualify7 to sit for the exam.
I took 8 classes through Allied School, and it took me about 1yr., as you can only take one class every 2.5wks & I lagged, too. Then it took 6mths to get an exam date, take the exam & pass licensing (there were a few bugs).
I passed on the 1st try, but I also studied like a fiend. I took every chapter test, every course exam, and also bought an exam cram list of practice tests and a video.

One time. I started classed in August. Took 1 or 2 classes a week and then the cram course (a weekend long class). Passed the class test with an 89%. Took a month and a half off and studied my butt off every chance I got. I took on-line tests from the same company that administers the test and from the library. I looked over my notes and tests from the cram course. I also took the exit exam a couple of times just to go over the test. Took the test in beginning of December and passed. I really didn't think I did because the test had A LOT of things that were never taught. It was a complete shock that I passed and pretty high too. Diane

I'm from NYS. The requirements have just changed. When I took the class, it was 45 hours in length. Was working FT at the time, so I took the envening class for 8 weeks. The required hourse were 45- they are now 90. Passed the class exam and State exam on the first try. In NYS - the exam is pretty easy.

I'm in Oregon. I took the course at OnlineEd, it was the cheapest I could find by about $300 under other classes. I started studying in May, and took my test in July, and passed the first time.

It took me 3 months of taking and passing the class (RE Principles). My exam was a month after finishing the course as I took into account the time it takes to even get a seat in the exam and scheduled it well ahead of time. I passed the first time.

Just took my FL state exam yesterday for the first time. Wasn't nearly as hard as alot of people had made it out to be. Passed and didn't take 1/3 the time they allow. (3 and a half hours for 100 questions!)

I took my courses online. I studied a little bit the first time around but not as much as I should have and missed it by 2%. I waited 2 months to take the next test and missed it by 5%. I should have not waited this long, but I had lots of personal stuff going on. The next time around I took it a month later and stayed up most of the night studying and passed.
