Also, please name the state you are in, how much did you study, how long after school did you take it, or any other info you want to add! Thanks!

Classes took me about a year to complete, took the test about six months after my last class, passed right away. Studied using a CD specifically designed to function like the Ohio test, and had a bank of over 1000 questions, used the CD for about 20 minutes every day.

CT. I studied for about 45 minutes a day. The class ended in the end of August but couldn't test until middle of October because of the testing company was full. I passed the general part the first time, but missed the state part by 1 question. I went back a week later and passed the state part.

Texas and I took the exam once and passed it. Once I finished RE course I took a prep course (it helped alot) the week of my exam. I also studied about 30 min a day the week of my exam.

Missouri and I took the salespersons classroom training for 2 weeks and then my test the day after class ended--started right in on my brokers the next week and passed it the following week. I studied at least 2 hours every night.

i took the classes in about 6 weeks, took a prep course right after classes ended, and took my exam two weeks after. I signed up for one of those online test prep places but only used it for probably 2 hours...on the day of the exam. I don't remember the breakdown for national/state, but I only missed 7 out of 110 questions. Just use your common sense and you should be ok!

I'm in Ohio. The class took 3 months, passed the test on the first try. Honestly, I didn't study much outside class. To offset all my shortcomings, I was blessed with an excellent memory. \:\)

Jackie it took me 6 months to do my classes, I was a college student and was able to mix my classes in with my other classes. I took the test about 6 months later. I Passed the sate part of the exam on the first time and the National portion on the second. I never studied for the exam until I had to take the national part again I studied 1 hour every other day foe 2 weeks. To be honest I thought the test was easy. I only missed passing the first time by 2 questions. If I had studied the first time I’m sure I would have passed it all the first time. By the way I’m in Ohio

Im in Kansas. Took classes for 2 weeks in the evenings (was working my landscaping business) and didnt get to study much, but did take a one day extra class and passed it the first try. For us they dont tell us what you got on the test. Its either pass or fail. I think Missouri people that were in the class had to be there longer but I could of gotten my Missouri license without the extra hours.

Class was 10 weeks long, 1x/wk for 4+ hours. The instructors were phenominal with study guides and outlines, practice tests. I took the test 2 days after my last class. Didn't study much, the class was preparation enough. Read 'Modern RE' too. Passed in the 90's. I was fortunite to have the instructors I did.

Before the test I overheard a woman say that this was her 7th attempt at passing the test. If she ever did pass, I'd guess that she'd make a good agent - she's got persistance!

I studied like a fiend and passed the first time.
Allied gave good advice: before the test, write down your math formulas on your scratch paper and use it to track questions you're not sure of. Write down those ? numbers and move on to the ones you are sure of. Go back to the ones you're not sure of and answer them. Then go through the entire test and double check your answers.

Good luck!

Here in Colorado the classes are about a month if you go all day every day M-F. If you do the 4 hour evening classes every evening it takes 2 months, and if you do all day Saturday and Sunday it takes 3 months. (That's for a brokers license. We don't have sales licenses here).
I did home study for 6-8 hours per day and it took me 9 days on my own. I took the exam within a week and passed my first time.
I had already been managing large apartment complexes for 6 years and taught the fair housing training for my company- plus my parents were real estate investors, so I had a little head start.
