Yahoo and google i believe on there site somewhere have the most typed in terms for real estate so i would take the words typed in most often for homebuyer and homeseller searches and make up a combo and register it,make sure it's a .com
The above quote leaves the false impression that web searchers type in terms in the browser address bar - and you say Yahoo and Google have a list of these terms - and for this reason it is important to have a .com domain name.
I think what you are referring to is Yahoo's Keyword research tool which can be found at
http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ The list is for keywords typed in search engines - not typed into browsers.
Searchers by and large do not type terms in the address bar - they type them in search engines - there is no real need to have a .com domain name. Others will work just fine - and in most cases will work better because better names are available.
