Wow - I cannot believe there are no responses. Let me tell you what a day in the life of a real estate agent SHOULD be; however the vast majority are not like this:
4-5 hours a day prospecting, looking for business whether you are calling people you know, FSBO hunting, door knocking etc
1-2 hours a day in meetings, training, perfecting sales skills (practicing listing presentation, scripts )
1-2 hour day doing paperwork, f/u with business on the books, admin stuff etc
