I specialize in commercial lending. I do residential lending as well its usually with one of my commercial clients, someone they referred or from a corporate benefit program I have established. I approach the hr dept with a residential loan benefit program and ask questions.
Residential is great but the commercial loan is what I'm after, I look to see if they have been thinking of building or looking for another building, etc. If so, I refer them to a commercial realtor and work with them in the lending process. I also offer a substantial referral fee for commercial loans, you can't by law do that with residential.
