What is the deal with all these Coldwell Bankers stating that they are commercial with their signs and website listing when i get there or call they turn out to be just residential?

Sorry for the run on sentence but I'm having a hard time finding a strong commercial division.

Coldwell Banker offers franchises. In my area there are at least 4 Coldwell Banker brokerages one of which is owned by Berkshire Hathaway. There is also a commercial brokerage that uses the last names of that C.B. Franchise because when they sold, they sold the residential side not the commercial.

Coldwell Banker has two different classes of franchises. The Group I am with owns both a Residential Franchise and a Commercial Franchise that are seperate companies owned by the controlling corportate group which also owns a mortgage company, title company, architectural firm, property management firm and an engineering firm.

Residential agents cannot list and sell commercial properties unless they are also developers, builders or principles. Commercial agents do not list or sell residential properties other than those they sell or buy as a principle.

Unless the brokerage has a seperate commercial department they are likely not major players in the commercial market of the areas they cover.

Check out one of the following, Coldwell Banker Commercial WESTMAC

Great info guys.

It seemCBRE deals with skyrise buildings and large corporations while CBC deals with smaller warehouse, income properties, and mix use. I am not certain but I checked some of the listing CBC had and that is my assumption.

Since I am in Los angeles County, not Los angeles there are no skyrises. So I think with all this info I can make a wiser choice.

Once again you guys are awesome.
