I've just started doing a little research on what classifies A, B, and C buildings. What I've found out so far seems vague and general. Some have told me that B & C are qualified as such in relation to Class A for a particular area. Class A usually has a better location, better building materials, more amenities.
Just wanted to hear some other points from real estate professionals participating in this forum.

I believe in commercial real estate, class A,B, or C denonts the types of amenties furnished, i.e. class A office space would be a fairly luxurious building with things like parking, greenspace, fountains, and lots of glitz, whereas a class c building might offer no parking lot, barebones facilities, and spartan surroundings.
A phone call to a a local commercial real estate practicioner would better answer your question.

If you refer to class A B of C designations to characterize a property then it has to do with building quality not location. High-tech, high quality modern buildings are considered class A and then accordingly lower quality buildings as B and C. I don't think that Class A B and C are often used to characterize locations, they may if they are dominated by a paricular category of buildings, or sometimes as a means of qualifying how strong and prestigious a location maybe. Hope this helps. Petros http://www.property-investing.org

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
