Greetings to all. First off, I’d like to say that it is a pleasure to be a part of this web site because I have heard nothing but good things about the people here. I started this forum because I have noticed that there was not a section that specialized on how homeowners insurance plays a role in real estate transactions. I’m opening this forum so that real estate agents and lenders can get a perspective from someone in the insurance business. I also encourage anybody else that has an interest or question in this topic to participate. This forum is open to just about anything that has to do with insurance in general. I also carry a license in life insurance and will be happy to discuss this as well. I’d like to make it clear that I am only licensed in Ohio so I may not be familiar with some of the insurance laws in other states. However, there are many general concepts that carry over form state to state. If I can’t answer a question, I will at least be able to tell you what question you can ask to get the answer you’re looking for. So welcome all, and I look forward to creating a forum that encourages many fruitful discussions.

While this ? is not on hazard insurance, I received my renewal for E&O and found a Terrorism Insurance Coverage addendum for $100. With 90% of the losses, certifed by USG per the act, paid by the government, am I only paying to cover the other 10%? I am not all that certain any insurance company, much less the USG will pay for any losses due terrorism acts in light of the past. What am I missing?

What is an example in my business of coverage or non coverage? Stumped in the land of oz.
