As of today, I am stepping away from the retail side of mortgage lending my friends and taking on a new challenge which I am very excited about. I am joining forces with a wholesale lender and coming on board as one of their AE.
I've always enjoyed the B2B world more than I did retail anyways so it makes sense for me to do what I enjoy doing most.
I'll tell you what though, I have learned so much in the last 5 years as a retail loan officer that the experience I gained will only make me a better AE. I don't have to pretend to know what LOs' challenges are, I know them first hand so returning phone calls and giving reliable quotes and pre-approval are on top of my priority list. There will be NO "yeah I can do this" if I'm not sure whether I can or cannot do the deal. If I don't know, I'm not afraid to say:"I don't know but let me find out the answer for you so I don't waste neither yours or your borrower's precious time."

Anyways, I just wanted to make the proper announcement. Wish me hard work that will pay off And of course I will still contribute to this forum.

Good luck, Alea! I'm very confident that you'll make an awesome AE! Like you said, your vast experience as an LO will give you great leverage in fulfilling the needs and expectations of an LO.

Alea, Kick some tail out there! I have no doubt that from reading your posts that you will be an excellent AE, and you will make brokers in your area that much better.
