Have you guys checked out the Homegain Buyer Link Program. It basically is a pay per click type service that drives buyers to your site from the Homegain website. I was wondering if anybody tried this and if the leads were any good. I would imagine Homegain gets a lot of hits due to all the advertising they do.

Any feedback would be great. Thanks!

Recommend you read the archives on these lead agguragators... Many agent try them... one thing they have in common is they all loose money. Worthless is the most common word associated with them.

I signed up with the Homegain Buyer Link Program a few weeks ago against most of the peoples opinions here (I'm one of those people that have to learn from my own mistakes \:\) ). So far, I really like it. It works exactly like Google Adwords or Overture (Yahoo). You set a budget (min is $250 per month) and they direct people to your website. They do not charge any referral fees for this service, just the cost of the click (which for me is less than a $1 per click for all of my search areas with the exception of one).

I am a new agent, just signed up in April. I have been doing the PPC programs through Google and Overture as well, but have only started generating leads from my site since I signed up with Buyer Link. I don't have a lead capture page on my site (which I'm trying to figure out how to do right now), so this is just from people volunteering their information.

I hope this helps, Massrealestateguy! \:\) If you have any specific questions, let me know and I'll try to answer them for you.

Thanks. Hoping to get more feedback. Anybody else out there try this? I know lots of referral sites are scams but the Buyerlink program seems to be alright. Any other opinions on this?

well it sounds like if you provide a set budget, can't hurt to try it. I'll have to research more to find out what the minimum is.

I'd try it, but $250 a month seems pretty steep \:\(

I think overture does the same thing on homegain as well , just in a different area......I know this becuase i get hits from homegain via my oveture (or maybe its adwords) Account......

I would NEVER , EVER , EVER buy one of these programs.......for a easy reason, you can do it so much cheaper.

Just do PPC or SEO , either one will work , both would be great. I get the same kind of leads my co-workers get with their homegain/housevalues/realestate.com/ect website , but my cost per click is about 25 cents or so. My monthly budget is around $35 or so , and i've got several good buyer leads ,and 1 listing.

I tried the HomeGain Buyer Link, and while they do a lot of filtering (like so many do), nothing guarantees that the visitor will give you their information. HomeGains only objective is to "lead" them to your website, and no more.

My suggestion is a newsletter. You can email it to anyone that hands you a business card, mail it via USPS (friends & family included), or even print up 50 or 75 copies and ask to leave complimentary issues at restaurants, grocery stores etc. This will get your referral business going. I use the newsletter from www.Resulti.com

I haven't sold any houses yet with BuyerLink. I've only done this for a little less than 2 months, but I have gotten about half a dozen good leads off of it that I'm working on right now. I haven't decided if I'm going to keep it up yet or not.

Yep, that's exactly what I'm doing. Everyone that contacts me, I contact them and stay in contact with them. The problem is that none of them are in a hurry to buy right now. Most are window shopping or are looking to buy in the spring. The sales will come, be it from BuyerLink or otherwise, it just takes time.
