I am currently an ERA agent and thinking of switching companies. My area has C21, Coldwell, Realty World, and a couple of independents. ANyone have any info on these companies commission splits, broker support, etc? I am especially interested in Realty World Info. Thanks

I currently work for Realty World in Hernando County, FL. Very happy here. Talking too much about commission splits (i believe) is an anti-trust issue and I'm gonna stay away from it (call the broker - they'll be happy to tell you about their split program). My particular broker is very knowledgeable and I think that makes a huge difference as far as the type of support you get from them. If i have questions, he's got answers and they're good answers not "they put $2,000 down on the house? screw'em! if they don't want it now, we keep the 2 grand!" (i actually heard a broker say that when i went on an interview at another brokerage and a couple of agents had a problem the broker had to solve while i was there). Not sure where you are but I work for a company in Oh that pays a 95/5 split with no fees.

How important is a 100% or 95/5 or even 50/50 split if you can't sell a home or list a home.
I went to the CAR yesterday to pay my dues. While there a couple of folks turned in lock box's and supra keys. I asked that lady at the front desk what's going on. She said that's normal, she said about 400 did the same thing this week alone.
