I thought I would just put this out there.
I used to work in the Aptos/Santa Cruz area of California. I saw amazing results from advertising in the local "Homes" magazine. It seemed that if you wanted to sell a house fast, just get a full page ad in that magazine and you would not only get that home sold, but get tons of leads.
I moved to my new area less than a year ago and find that there is not a definitive local homes magazine like there was in my old turf.
Has anyone out there ever had bad results when advertising in one of these "Homes" magazines?
If your someone in the San Jose, Morgan Hill area, I would love your input but a discussion of these magazines general effectiveness and how you got the most out of the effort would be helpful as well.
Thanks

Why don't you pick one magazine up and call some of the agents that are advertising in them?
I did that, (in regards to asking various agents whhat and why they liked their firm,) before I moved to Las Vegas. It cut down on a lot of interviews.

I picked a few at random and called them up to ask about the success they were having and everyon seems to think its great. That has been holding true for all three homes magazines in this area. So maybe I am good with whatever choice.
I would love to hear about anything creative anyone has done with their advertising in these things. Anyone stepped outside the show a property and your picture/contact info model?

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
